PGA Championship delayed again by fog

Watson, Molinari lead at PGA Championship

The  PGA Championship  has been delayed again because of fog.

The  first  round was set  to resume at  7 a.m. local  time (8 a.m. et) Friday morning after being suspended Thursday night because of darkness.

The  start of the round was delayed by more than three hours Thursday morning, also because of fog.

There  is no indication how long the delay will last Friday morning. When play resumes, 78 players will return to the course at Whistling Straits to complete their rounds. Second-round tee times will be based on the time play resumes.

Phil  Mickelson is  among the players who need to complete their first rounds.

He is one-under through 11 holes.

Ernie  Els, Matt Kuchar  and Nick Watney are tied at four-under par with holes remaining.  Bubba Watson  and Francesco Molinari opened with four-under 68s on Thursday to share the clubhouse lead.

Tiger  Woods followed his worst start as a professional with a one-under 71 on Thursday to sit three strokes off the lead.
