Aaron Schobel to retire

Former Buffalo  Bills defensive  end Aaron Schobel has decided he will retire.

Schobel,  who  was released by  the Bills earlier  this month, told the team’s website  that he decided  Friday he will retire. He told the site he will file his  retirement  papers when he  receives them from  his agent, adding that he won’t listen if another team calls him about playing again.

Schobel,  a  two-time Pro Bowl  selection, has  played for only Buffalo during his  nine-year career,  which began after the Bills selected him in the second round of the 2001 draft out of TCU.

The  32-year-old had  10 sacks and 56  tackles in 16 games last season. In 133 career games, he has recorded 483 tackles, 78 sacks and three interceptions.
