New York Giants defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy has been suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substance policy.
Kennedy was signed by New York on August 23 after the Giants placed defensive back Terrell Thomas on injured reserve and has four tackles over the team’s first five games.
An eight-year veteran, he spent parts of the past three seasons with Minnesota and in 2010 he had eight tackles and half a sack in nine games.
The 12th overall pick of the 2003 draft by St. Louis, he has totaled 129 tackles and 8 1/2 sacks over 91 games with St. Louis, Chicago, Jacksonville, Minnesota and New York.
